Safari Menu - Surf & Turf

A great one for lovers of the outdoors. We'll meet and take a walk down to the wild stunner that is Lundy Bay. After setting up base you'll clamber the rocks to pick the biggest and the best fresh mussels while I dig the table. We'll build our fire and get in a surf or swim before the cooking begins in earnest.
On the menu:
Hand Picked Mussels in Cornish Cider with sea herbs and clotted cream served with fresh bread.
Lemon and thyme sliced steak with seasonal flowers, shoots and leaves
Cornish Cheese board and crackers
Cornish Coffees and teas served with Nadia's Biscotti.

Safari Menu - Early Bird

Forget the worms, this early bird experience is about the most important meal of the day.

We'll meet at a farm and collect fresh chicken and duck eggs, cream and milk. You can even try your hand at milking. We will visit the local Hands On Coffee Roastery and pick up local teas grown on the Tregothnan estate to accompany our feast.
Back in the kitchen we'll make fresh seasonal fruit yoghurt and granola using the finest ingredients, locally sourced where possible. We will whip up some Saffron Cornish Toast and churn some fresh butter to top it followed by rich duck eggs benedict.

Enjoy Nadia's Biscotti with your coffee or tea, the only question will be 'to dunk or not to dunk!'www.nadiasbiscotti.com

The award winning butchers will help us make some Padstow Porkers and we'll use the best local flours and a traditional iron to make fresh pasta as well as picking up all we need to make a simple homely lunch back at Casa Cornwall.

Menu:
Fresh Cornish Carbonara using local free range eggs.
Porkers on a bed of wild mushroom and thyme lentils with garlic polenta chips.
Seasonal fruit torta with clotted cream
Local Hand Roasted Coffee, Tregothnan Tea & Nadia's Biscotti.

Cornish Food Safari 2013

Hi, I'm Nadia.

Let me take you on a Cornish Food Safari. We will explore the 5 taste sensations (sweet, bitter, salty, savoury & umami) and celebrate the best fresh local foods.
I can pick them up and bring them to your place, or better still, we can pick them together, in the wild and at the best local farmers markets the County has to offer.
I'll show you some simple recipes you'll use again and again with family, friends and loved ones.
We can cook at your holiday accommodation or out on the beautiful coast or countryside.

If you want to book me, call the Adventure Butlers, for inspired experiences.

The Ark - New Community Cafe in Bodmin

Hi,

There is a fantastic new project at the top of Bodmin's high street called The Ark. It's going to be a new community space and cafe. They are helping young mums back in to work and giving the community a great new place to stop for a cuppa and a bite to eat, with a great big play space and library for the kids.

It's all hands on deck for the grand opening in a couple of weeks time. If you can spare any kitchen equipment, crockery, toys or books they would be put to great use. They are also looking for artists to paint a mural on the wall and any extra hands to finish it on schedule.

Mmmm.. This IS a tasty burger.

Everyone loves a good burger and I just had the most humongous and delicious burger in The Basement in Padstow. Sweet, juicy, perfectly cooked meat with just the right amout of cheese, bacon and tomato. Perfection. I asked the chef where he got his meat from and he shouted from the pass that it was from a great bloke at AAqualitymeats on the industrial estate. I'm hoping they will sell to punters like me and not just businesses, watch this space to find out I can get some of the good stuff for myself.
